Lightweight and portable

The Delta 2 weighs 12.5 kilograms only around 2 kilograms heavier than the lithium-ion-based Jackery Explorer 1500. It’s light enough to carry with just one hand, and will more easily move around with handles on either side.

Expandable Capacity from 1-3kWh

EcoFlow DELTA 2 supports to use of an extra battery to expand its capacity which is great for extended power outages, long camping trips, or your RV. with a DELTA 2 extra battery, you can expandable the capacity to 2 kWh, but when you connect with a DELTA Max extra battery, the capacity will be extended to 3 kWh.

Multiple charging options

DELTA 2 allows multiple recharging options, such as solar charging, generator charging, AC charging, and car charging. However, one of the most impressive features of the Delta 2 is its charging speed. Ecoflow claims that the unit can charge its 1024-watt-hour battery from completely flat to 80% in 50 minutes, with a full charge taking 80 minutes. In many user tests, it reached almost 50% charge in 30 minutes from completely flat, 80% charge in just under 50 minutes, and 100% charge in just under 80 minutes, which is very impressive and pretty much confirms Ecoflow’s claims.

What can the EcoFlow DELTA 2 power?

The portable battery of DELTA 2 has come a long way, it can power pretty much anything now. A 1800W AC output means you can power more than 90% of your home appliances, including your microwave, fridge, or even coffee maker. Besides, a total of 15 outlets on DELTA 2 can power 15 devices at once! And what makes us feel safe is that DELTA 2 can prevent overloading from devices up to 2200W thanks to X-Boost technology.

With the original capacity, we can power a 120W refrigerator for 7-14 hours, a 1000W coffee maker for 0.8 hours, charge a 60W laptop 16 times, and an 11W phone 89 times. But we should not forget that DELTA 2 allows expanding the capacity up to 3 kWh via connecting a DELTA extra battery, which can meet our needs maximum in the outdoor activity or home power cut.

Here are some of the estimated power times for various devices when using Delta 2 alone with no batteries added:

  • Electric grill at 1,150-watts: 0.7 hours
  • Phone at 11 watt-hours: 89 charges
  • Light at 10 watts: 31 hours
  • WiFi router at 10 watts: 31 hours
  • A small fan at 40 watts: 16 hours
  • TV at 110-watts: 8 hours
  • Refrigerator at 120-watts: 7-14 hours
  • Coffee maker at 1,000-watts: 0.8 hours
  • Laptop at 60 watt-hours: 16 charges

How long does EcoFlow DELTA 2 last?

Due to the LiFePO4 battery chemistry, it makes DElTA 2 last 6 times longer. Recharging 3000+ cycles to 80% capacity means if you recharge it every day, it’s effective for at least eight years! So as for this issue, it is not necessary to worry about it, feel free to use it every day, and it will be a reliable portable power station.

How long will an EcoFlow power a house?

EcoFlow DELTA 2 built-in 1800W AC output means we can power almost any home device. With a plug-and-play design, it’s easier than ever to become backup power for blackouts. To be honest, with the 1kWh capacity, it is difficult to power a house including high-power appliances all-day. But as for an emergency backup power supply for a blackout is useful. Take it easy on the power consumption in your house, only power for the low power device, such as lightbulbs(10-40W), house fans (10-100W), and Macbooks, etc. It is not a problem to power your house all day.

But if you expand the capacity to 3kWh via adding DElTA Max extra battery, I think it is not a problem that power your house including high-power home devices all day. If you want more professional backup power for your house, I recommend you the BLUETTI EP500Pro which with 5kWh to easily power your house for several days.

Is EcoFlow Delta 2 worth it?

EcoFlow DELTA 2 is certainly worth buying. It was a little expensive though, I buy it for $949 before. But it let me enjoin my outdoor camp without worrying about the power shortage. I really like the features below:

  1. 7 times Faster Charging: 0-80% in just 50 mins and 0-100% in 80 mins with AC input which is an ideal power station when you need home backup power and a quick charge using your wall outlet.
  2. Expandable Capacity from 1-3kWh: With the standalone portable power station sporting 1kWh, you can add on extra batteries to reach up to 3kWh.
  3. Power Almost Anything: Power all your appliances with 1800W output, that’s on par with outdoor generators without the fumes or noise, and with 15 outlets and its huge output, you can power 90% of your appliances.
  4. Recharging with Solar: DELTA 2 is also a solar generator that can be charged while camping, on an RV trip, or off-grid.
  5. Super durable: Recharging 3000+ cycles to 80% capacity which makes DELTA 2 6 times last longer than others.
  6. Lightweight and portable: It’s light enough to carry with just one hand, and will more easily move around with handles on either side.

Final thought

The EcoFlow Delta 2 is certainly one of the best portable power stations. It’s impressive to see the long-lasting LFP battery and the reassurance of a five-year warranty from EcoFlow. The modular battery system is a fantastic concept, and the 1024-watt-hour battery is sufficient for most people, which keeps the weight and price down.

Compared to other LFP power stations, this is far more portable and offers excellent value for money, given all of its features. If you need more power, adding another battery is straightforward and convenient, as it’s more practical to move around two lighter batteries than one giant, heavy battery.

Although it doesn’t have wireless charging pads like the Bluetti EB3A or a built-in light like many other units. But EcoFlow Delta 2 makes up for it with the number of useful ports, the large 1800-watt inverter, the insanely fast 1200-watt charging, and the genuinely useful smartphone app.
